He pushed in deep, lifting her to her tiptoes as he filled her. Her body stretched and heated, and she moaned in pleasure as he began to rock in and out. She leaned back, her shoulders against the granite as they rode each other through the rain of the shower, so warm and right.
She gasped and gripped his arms as she came, pulling him deeper as she cried out. He gripped her hips and drove harder until he found his own release. He lurched forward, pressing her back into the wall as he spilled into her.
He released her leg and slipped from her body, staggering into the far wall of the shower like a prizefighter who’d taken a sucker punch. Mira couldn’t help the laugh as she adjusted the temperature of the shower down and stepped beneath the cool spray. Showering with Cal was always a workout.
She bent to pick up the shampoo she’d knocked down and he smacked her ass. She straightened up to see his naughty smile.
“Don’t push your luck, Kerr.”
“You are my luck.” He pulled her to him, the heat of the man on her front and the cool of the shower on her back an intoxicating combination. “I hope it’s a girl this time.”
Her heart stuttered as she looked up at him, the pregnancy test she’d taken before getting into the shower coming back to her mind. She was only a few days late, and that could be written off to getting ready for the trip. Still, she didn’t feel the usual ache that came before.
His grin went from devilish to sweet. “You didn’t know?”
“They’re always negative. Are you sure you read it correctly?”
“A plus sign is pretty hard to misinterpret.” He kissed her forehead, then reached back to dial up the heat on the water again. “It’s the best anniversary present we’ll ever get.”
“You’re sure you’re okay with another one? Maybe this one won’t be as active as the boys.”
He laughed, loud and full. “I doubt we have the recipe for a calm child. But maybe. Doubtful.”
“Maybe if it’s a girl.” Visions of dollhouses and fairy wings danced in her imagination. The boys only liked toys with wheels.
“If not, we can try again. I like baby making.” He released her and stepped under the shower spray, the water sluicing over his toned body.
“You like babies.” He’d taken to the boys from the start, in a way she’d only dreamed possible. Nevin had spent most of the first six weeks on Cal’s forearm, the only position that eased his colic.
“I love my babies.” He closed his eyes and tilted his head into the spray.
“I didn’t think it would ever happen again. It’s been years.” She stepped closer and touched his chest. He brought his gaze back to her, love mixed with the passion she saw there.
“I told you we’d keep trying until it worked. You know I go after what I want until I get it. That’s how you I got you in this shower.”
“Oh is it?” She couldn’t help the laugh. “I was in the shower first, and you only joined me because the boys are knackered.”
“All part of my master plan.” He rested his hands on her ass like that’s where they belonged. “I wonder how far along we are. The boys already share a birthday, it would be hard if all three of them do.”
“I know last time we only had to wait six months for the babies, but I can’t be more than maybe three weeks along now.”
Laughter rumbled in his chest as his smile widened. “I know how to get you pregnant.”
“Yes, twice now.”
He shook his head and leaned down to whisper in her ear. She couldn’t help the blush heating her face and chest. When he looked at her again his smile had gone naughty, his eyes darkening with desire.
“I’m sure we’ve done that without making a baby.”
“Nope. Well, twice, but you were pregnant at the time, so . . .”
“I can’t believe you keep track of that.” The image had hardened her nipples, so she pressed them against his chest for relief, only that brought the ache lower.
“You have no idea how hot you look during. It’s unforgettable.” His grip tightened on her ass, his cock demanding between them.
“Right now it’s all I can think about.” She leaned closer, kissing a path down the side of his neck.
“In order to make love that way we need a bed and we’re all wet.”
“You have no idea how wet I am right now.” She nipped at his collarbone and reached behind him to shut off the water. She grinned up at him, her heart swelling. This was everything she’d always wanted but never thought she could have. She and Cal crazy for each other, happy children, and a life together than only got better with time.
